Ejrak had made his way downstairs at the back of the group, and had been watching the scene quietly with his hammer still in his hands. He seemed confused by the conversation. "Why take artifacts? They're old. Sometimes dirty if not cleaned. Why take them?"

Maglier came upon the scene completely confused. He could not see over most of the citizens gathered in the inn, but heard the voices of Tigurius and someone else arguing about something important. He found an empty table and clambered up on top of it to get a better view. It seemed Tigurius and some worn dunmer who was tied to a similar table were the center of attention, and the dunmer was listing off what he had apparently stolen from Tigurius at some point in the past. It certainly would be interesting to see what the knight would do to his enemy.

"You seem quite confident in your ability to escape an armed escort. Maybe I should petition the lord to have you beheaded here, hmm?" Tigurius said, thumbing the pommel of Sursil for emphasis.

"Oh believe me, he wants to, after what I did to his wife. However, many Telvanni diplomats and a few Hlaalu want to do even worse things to me and won't let me go to some imperial baffoon. If you're sooooo wooorrried about me escaping. Escort me yourself, old man." says the dunmer, spitting at Tigurius.

Sensing violence is about to happen, the crowd suffles back a ways. Several even exit the Inn.

Tigurius stood silently for a moment, considering the consequences, not moving as spit landed between his feet. The Dunmer was right; he probably would escape. He managed to get in and out of Tigurius' own manor; what chance did a few Guard Regruits have of keeping him in line.

And if he was telling the truth, if House Hlaalu did want him for themselves, he would find himself in a great deal of trouble if he killed the Dunmer. Now, more than ever, he needed to be careful; he literally could not afford crossing one of the richest factions in the Empire.

"Maybe I will."

"Ah! So decisive!" cackles the dark elf sarcastically.

Kilroy had come down right in front of the two serfs to see his master speaking with a rather bloody looking Dumner in the middle of a large crowd.

"Escort me yourself, old man."

"Maybe I will."

"Ah! So decisive!"

Kilroy's mind locked up. What in the world was going on? Who was this creep? He pushed his way up through the crowd, and came out into the inner circle.

"Hey... whats going on?" he asked.

Not wanting to get involved with any altercation, Itylus bows slightly to Kilroy and steps out of his way.

"Keep him chained to the table until morning. If he tries any magic, kill him. I'll see what Lord Anvil wants done with him in the morning." Tigurius ordered the guards before marching back to his room, slipping back into bed as quietly as he can to avoid waking his wife, who had fallen back asleep since Tigurius had left. Lianne tossed and turned in the bed she shared with her sister; a nightmare, more than likely. And after seeing her home burned to the ground, and having a man threaten her life, how could she not. Tigurius didn't get any sleep that night.

The moon slowly settles beyond the horizon as the sun slowly rises. It's dawn, just barely and the group begins waking up.
