Re: Werewolf: the Forsaken OOC Thread
My philosophy is build the character you want, not the character the group wants. It provides in-game challenges that will need to be overcome.

My philosophy with werewolf is that you don't need to be a jack-of-all-trades, you can specialise. And it makes sense for everyone to have their own role in the pack.
I did make a few changes, but I'm still making a character I want to play and I'm sure we will have plenty of challenges to deal with.

I don't see any harm in dividing up roles to give everyone their own area to shine in.

Re: Werewolf: the Forsaken OOC Thread
Fair amount of updates to the OP wiki for our campaign. I don't have every member of all four NPC packs named and storied up yet, but there should be enough there that you get a feel for the city, the names of each pack, whichever members I've named, and a description of the territory for each pack.
Game launch is going to be pushed back till this afternoon or evening. I underestimated (again) what a pain in the ass naming stuff is. Seriously, dude...one of the packs in the city came *this* close to being named the Clockwork Chickenfuckers because I'm sleep deprived, they were my last pack to name, and they'd had me stumped for like an hour.
IC thread and first post should go up either during my 5yo's naptime or after I get the kids to bed tomorrow night (8-ish Central) depending on how cooperative they are and how functional I am.
Is anybody here any good with -- or even familiar with -- Maptools? I'd like to upload a map of the city with the territories marked out, and pins in some of the key places. OP will let me do the key places, but I need to figure out how to make a map with the general shapes of the city I'm using as its skeleton without all those pesky names and details that I'm going to completely tear out and throw away. Let me know if anyone has any ideas, suggestions, or can possibly help.

Coming up with names is hard! I think the pack names you chose are great. I hope our pack is not listed in order of status though

It's listed alphabetically by tribe and then by auspice. It made it way easier for me to keep track of how many of each we have. edit: apparently when I'm sleep deprived, my mad librarian comes out.
