In the World of Darkness, Midwestern City is as big as we need it to be.

I'll have a better idea of that for you guys when we go live.

The really important thing isn't the city itself, which can be painted in broad strokes...

The important factor is our territory. What does it have in it? Who are the local (non-werewolf) players? What kind of spirits are running amok? Where (and who) are the Zi'ir? What are the neighbouring packs like?

All of which you will get in this thread when the game launches.

And in the meantime, I'm going radio silent so I can go make all that up. Try not to blow anything up while I'm gone. ;)

We have two people with Any Beast, so I've backed away from it...

but I retain some interest.

If Aisling had Any Beast could she mask her wolf form as a cat form?

She'd make a pretty big cat.

The Urhan form is only reduced to a size of 4. For frame of reference, that is a 12-year-old child, a large dog (St. Bernard, Irish Wolf Hound, etc.) or Timberwolf.

Wolf size comparison: Do not click if squeamish. There is no blood, but the wolves in these pictures are dead.

Your size doesn't scale at all when you use Anybeast. That would be a large cat, mountain lion, cougar, jaguar, or cheetah.

I have a werewolf character who uses Anybeast to match his personality.

This one is totally SFW.

He uses a polar bear for his Urshul form, and a St. Bernard for his Urhan form when he wants to blend in. Otherwise, his Urhan form is a timberwolf. Seeing as the game takes place here in MN, that made the most sense.

Shame. I mean I like big cats. But I had my eye on turning into a witch's cat

What are the Native Bears like? Brown? Grizzly?

The entirety of MN has black bears, but we also have brown bears and grizzly bears in the northern part of the state.

The one time my character had to turn into a polar bear in public, the police claimed that the polar bear had escaped from the local zoo.

My country has no bears, no snakes, no real predators of any notable size. I did run a werewolf game set there, but I had to pretend we had reintroduced wolves.

Shame about Any Beast, but then we don't all want to have the same gifts, unless that's our thing.
