Re: Werewolf: the Forsaken OOC Thread
Combat starts tonight.
I spent yesterday dealing with lots o' unpleasant stuff, and I've got another round of it today.
Things should happen pretty quick this weekend, though. No kids around and no plans, so...

If I can use the gift and do something, Aisling will try grabbing an arm.

Re: Werewolf: the Forsaken OOC Thread
First round of combat is almost done. I had to ask GG to change his action because I didn't catch that Luna's Dictum can't be used in combat. I'll check back once more before I go to bed and once in the morning when I get up.
<cliffhanger-ing mofo> shit's getting real up in here. </cliffhangering mofo>

Re: Werewolf: the Forsaken OOC Thread
Round 1 is up.
I kept track of dice rolls and a basic outline of the actions in a notepad file for my own use. I copy/pasted it into the post and hid it behind spoiler tags so anyone interested can see the turns and actions behind my write-up. I figure if I'm going to take a little narrative license with things, I should let you guys see the outline I'm working from so that you can tell which part was your action and what was me adding flavor.
I made all rolls on our dice roller, but if you go back and dig around, you're going to see multiple rolls for the same thing in some cases. That's because I'd realize after the fact that I forgot to apply defense or miscalculated the dice pool and rolled again to correct it. I used the latter, corrected rolls with 1 exception.
That exception is when I screwed up Ash's roll to bite and hold Ray. The first roll had her using too few dice, and she still got once success. The corrected roll had her using the right number of dice, but she got no success. Because Ash managed to succeed when I'd already screwed over her dice pool, I decided to let the first roll stand. It's 1pt of damage and a half-ass grapple, so in game terms it's not doing much. But it made the scene more exciting, and I felt bad taking this long to knock this out and then having to correct away the only success 3/4 of the fighters got that round.
Next round won't be nearly so cumbersome. I've shaken a lot of the dust off my brain on this, so it should go much quicker next time. Apologies for the delays and my ineptitude, and yet more thanks for being patient with me.

Cool, I wondered why I was on 1 dice! And this round Aisling is on top of things!

Re: Werewolf: the Forsaken OOC Thread
So I'm debating the merits of interjecting moments of calm by playing out the Walter,Kyle,Jack scene versus just waiting till the combat is over to keep from disrupting the tension.

Go ahead and keep RP'ing your guys side of things if you want. It'll keep the thread moving and get some stuff done.
