"Alright, I'll leave you to it. I have to go find out what this was all about." Connolly turns and walks out the door.

As Jack digs around in his side for the bullet, Dagger says "This is your fault you know."

"In a pig's eye." He keeps on working. "Tim, move that light to the left... Thanks." "The way I see it, I had to show you that brawn is not what it takes to be a captain. I gave you plenty of opporunity to back down. If you and the Celt got into a fight, the crew would think that the biggest bully was all that it took." There's a clatter of lead in a tin cup. "Besides, this doesn't look like my shot."

"As I recall it, you're the one who drew steel and got the crew all riled up when all I was doing was campaigning. If you had just let it be that murderous upstart apprentice of mine wouldn't have had the balls to backstab me."

"Aye, and that would have gutted my own move on the captain's chair. You're a hell of a gunner and that's where I need you. That's why I'm patching you up and not letting you bleed out on the deck. Most souls would be thankful for having their life saved."

At this a familiar feminine voice seems to whisper at Jack "If he's so ungrateful, maybe you should give him your special treatment." Little Tim and Dagger don't seem to notice this other voice. The direction of it seems to coming from Jack's chest in the corner.

Looking at his handy work, but we really know who he's talking to... *sigh* "At least I got some respect from Brimstone Jack. My talents are hard to come by."

Dagger replies "I do respect your talents ... Listen don't mind me I'm just angry I lost and got shot and the drink doesn't help. You were going to win that fight so you got my vote for Captain, and if that mate of mine hasn't turned my boys against me, their vote as well."

"Mr. Ravenblack" Eamon Connolly says as he approaches Hawk "Would you kindly explain your conduct this evening?"

"well well well looks who's popular all of a sudden, seems like everyone wants to talk now." Hawk finishes inspecting some of the gunpowder and finally looks toward Eamon "My conduct huh? Well you can say it was merely a resolution to a situation that had been building up, not to mention helping to quash the slight upheaval that Dagger and the Doctor were creating."

Hawk approaches Mr. Connolly "So tell me, how is that old windbag, did the good doc save him or are we gonna have another funeral on our hands?"
