Before they drag dagger off to be healed:
Hawk slowly reloads his gun "You were never the one to keep an eye on the cannons, we all trained for it. You merely kept reaching for more and more fame every time any of us aided the ship. You don't deserve to be Gunnery master let alone the Captain of this ship. The men who man the cannons side with me, and I know no one sides with you from anywhere else." He kneels down near dagger "Now just take whatever actions the good doctor here prescribes and don't cry anymore."

The Celt nods at Jack, "Aye", he whispers. "Take care of the blaggard. He's a good officer even if the rest of the crew want to shoot him too. We'll have to keep him under our thumb in the future."

Mindful of the crew The Celt strides over to Hawk, "I'll ask you to stay your gun next time lad." he looks over at Connoly and puts his arm around Hawks shoulder. "Come with me I've some questions. Let's go down to the powder room. I would like to see how our ordinance fair. Especially since you've jus' promoted yourself to main gunner."

Hawk looks at The Celt's arm and up at him "I doubt there's much you'd care to see, but before you do I gotta deal with my men then can show you. Also, if you want some control of my gun...I want to be kept in the loop. I don't know what dagger was told, he barely kept us informed and that made preparing the weapons more difficult. I at least want my men to know that I will know what we are doing and will give them time to prepare. If you can't promise me that, then there are more problem then me shooting off a gun."

The Celt Slaps Hawk's shoulder and gives him a friendly shake. He smiles which he seemed to do be doing a lot more of in light of recent events. "Not to worry, I'll do what I can. If what you say about Dagger was true we have much to discuss in the hold. It seems all he really did do was keep the powder dry. I'll meet you down there."

The Celt makes his way down to the where the munitions are stored below deck. When he is sure no one is around he studies the Captain's map closely trying to determine its location. He knew he had to disclose its existsnance but not until a captain was chosen. If no one else knew of it then Brimstone may have deserved what came to him. Not by the means means they did for certain but the end would have been just the same.

as The Celt goes about the lower deck a small frail looking boy comes up to him "excuse me sir, are they still taking recommendations for captain, cause we'd like to recommend our new gunnery master for the position." The boy's hands are ever constantly moving and looks to be covered in various burns and bruises.

The Celt floods the map and puts is away then looks down at the boy even though he is sitting, "What's your name lad? Have a seat, he'll be joining us shortly."

"my name is william sir. I'm on the gunnery crew and we'd like to nominate Mr. Ravenblack for captain." As he completes this sentence he flinches expecting to receive a fist or worse.

"You are very bold. Are you aware I was also nominated? That sort of decision is not mine to make. You should speak to the quartermaster or I shall do it for you but let us talk to Mr Hawk first and see what he has to say about that shall we?"

The Celt looks at the boy with sad eyes. He knows the boys pain and knows the boy could have easily ended up like him and he like the boy.

as Hawk enters the area he notices william "What are you doing here fishbait?" "well I...I.." Hawk sees the bit of terror in his eyes "Look go work on mixing the powder I'll check it in a bit." With that william leaves to go practice with some spare gunpowder.

Hawk places a bottle with a few cups on a nearby table "No idea what you two were talking about, or why you're here but figure might as well toast a bit to my promotion and get some details out of the way." As he fills the glasses he looks at The Celt "So guessing you don't really know much about cannons and munitions so I have to know, what do you really want down here? also be nice to know what fishbait talked about." He sits down offering the other glass.

The Celt watches the lad go his eyes lingering at the doorway's empty void for a bit before turning to Hawk.

"Before I tell you what he was talking to me about I would like to ask who's so hard on the boy. He doesn't seem to be the kind who steps out of line too often."
