In this the Year of Our Lord 1701, did end the bloody
career of the pirate Captain Jonathan Abraham Pallor,
called Brimstone Jack.
He did not die on the gallows, nor by the sword, nor shot in
two by cannon. He died of poison, administered to him by his
cook, an assassin under the King’s orders.
This is what happened next.

Eamon Connolly, the ships quartermaster drags forward the cook, the assassin Tom Reed, and throws him to the deck. Reed spits and proclaims "You're dead men all. No cap'n no more, I saw to that. The ship's worn and hungry, without Cap'n Jack your no match for the Kings Resolute."

The Celt seeing the commotion slides down a rope and drops at the height of a man. As he lands the deck shakes from his massive bulk of muscle. he stands a head and a half taller than the average crew member.

He eyes his crew mates and deck officers to see how they are reacting.

Handsome Jack hears the commotion up above and stands up from where he was inspecting Captain Brimstone's body. He says to Little Tim (actually Timothy Little, but you know how pirates are), "Fetch me some canvas, needle, and twine and I'll prepare the Captain's body." He then turns and heads up stairs to the main deck. There's justice to be done.

Connolly speaks for all to hear "Tom Reed, you took the King's gold to hand The Dagger over to the his ship The Resolute, and to assassinate Captain Brimstone Jack. You've betrayed your captain, his ship, and it's crew. Your punishment is death and since you succeeded in poisoning The Captain, the crew will now determine how you die."

The Celt sees that the rest of the crew has looks of anger and betrayal. They have a murderous intent about them.

Handsome Jack makes his way to the front of the crew and takes in the scene. "We need send a message to King William and his dogs." He steps forward and holds out his palms to the sides of Tom Reed's head. With a wicked grin he says, "Woody! I'm going to need a box this big."

[Woody being the ship's carpenter, of course.]

"Keel haul the King's Dog!" bellows the kelt, "Then if he still lives. We draw and quarter the bastard and spill his guts into the sea."

He unslings his burta From its loop on his belt. The forearm length club's waxed surface glisteneibg in the light glistened in contrast to the cold hammered iron band around it's end.

He gives it a backhanded twirl before smashing it against the ships railing resulting in a large crack in the timber with the sickening snap of wood. "Before I beat the piss outta him and send him to meet his devil!"

Jack careful takes a step away from the doomed cook. "Stay you wrath, Black Stewart... but just for a moment." "Captain Brimstone has ridden this crew hard and they deserve some sport. You'll get more licks with a flog than that skull crusher of yours."

Woody runs off to find a head sized box for Jack. Reed crosses himself when Jack steps away and the crew is split three ways. One side is for Jack's suggestion with cries like "Send William 'is head." and "Yeah let's see some sport" Others are siding with the Celt, yelling "Swab the deck with 'is guts" and "Toss 'em over." The rest are shouting their own suggestions.

The Celt slides his club back into its loop and ties it back in place. And bows deeply in a comical attempt to imitate Jack's gentlemanly demeanor.
"So long as there is blood and lots of it. We can always butcher his corpse and feed it to the fish. I'm all for sending what's left of his head back to his king"
