Post Monsterhearts
I'm looking at doing a Monsterhearts game for 3-4 players.

Monsterhearts is an Apocalypse World hack (published) that has the players as monster types in a High School. The moves in MH encourage the kind of petty, insecure maneuvering that's common in high school. Think Buffy with a darker edge, except you're the monsters and you're trying to hold back your darker self.

Teenage violence, sexuality, friendship, betrayal, loyalty, and the Darkest Selves of the characters themselves will all be a part of this game. It will have mature themes but will not be an adult game. I'll probably run this on rpol.net since it gives more tools.

Any interest?

Interested, picked up MH a while back and have heard good things about it on Story Games. Not so keen on RPOL.NET but that's more because I've never visited it.

rpol is actually pretty simple. It just allows a single forum folder for all the threads a specific game needs. It makes the game easier to track.

Ah, makes sense, if you need them. For the most part just an IC and OOC thread is good. But I've also seen PbF games with separate threads with each chapter and a central casting thread of NPCs and PCs.

Website for Monsterhearts

Monsterhearts character types

Monsterhearts Basic Moves

The Serpentine

The Angel

Here's some basic stuff you need for Monsterhearts. You can look over the character types (The Serpentine is available on that page as well) to see what draws you.

The character types aren't cut and dried--it was pointed out that Spike from Buffy is, basically, a Ghoul in this game.

Do you have any experience with Monsterhearts or Apocalypse World?

I'll need to re-read the rules as my lunch time project. :-)

I haven't played either but I own both books, have read them, and I am going to try to run and AW game in January so I've been prepping for that. Plus I've listened to the Walking eye's AP podcast on both games. I'm sure I'll need some hand holding but I kind of get how it goes. My only issue is that my work's proxy sever to block rpol.net so my posts my not be as often as I like

We could try it here, with someplace for character sheets and rolls, though I'm not sure what would work best for those.

Unless myth-weavers is blocked for you, which is another possibility.
