 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
Ah! I had forgotten. Kind of you to remind me. So, I'm at 4 since I burned an X for the flash back, yes?
I imagine Handsome Jack doing a left backfist to the inside of Dagger's right wrist sending his knife nervelessly to the deck. Jack moves in close with his razor and threatens the fool, "If you can't defend yourself against a scrawny whelp like me, you have no business above deck. Back off and I won't cut ya from ear to ear." Dagger sees cold murder in Handsome Jack's eye. -- TAZ

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
nope, flashbacks are free to do at anytime outside of a fight. I'm not quite understanding what your going for here? are you spend 3Xs to kill him (or in this case remove him from the fight)? or is this just kind of the opening scene of the fight if so I need your brinkmanship roll? I like the image though.
This is the scene I have in my head so far: Dagger is responding to what The Celt just said. You interrupt by flipping out your straight razor and lunging( or perhaps just advancing) at Dagger, he dodges out of the way and goes for his knife and you have your flashback and do the backfisted disarm.
Also if you do the brinkmanship roll and are losing(i.e less than 3 successes) you'll have these options -Spend Xs to get additional dice(1 per X) -Escalate(reroll all your failures) -Lose and take a scaring wound
If your winning you have the option to spend an X to inflict a scarring wound on him

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
Still working out the terminology, I believe brinksmanship is what I'm after. I want to disarm/intimidate him in front of the crew to remind him that his place is with the guns and not at the wheel.

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
I think I'm following you now. As far as I can see in the rules, there is no disarm/intimidate rules, i think that's just supposed come out in the narrative. What we'll do here is if you win the initial fight roll you'll get to do the disarm and then I'll roll Dagger's brinkmanship to see if he backs down. Sound good? Of course this also means he will have a nasty cut that's going to scar, a reminder of his fight with Handsome Jack.

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
Does the scar have to be physical? Can I show him up in front of the crew without bloodshed?

 Poison'd PBP(Mature)
The Celt smiles at his adversaries squabbling with each other. He stands feet shoulders width apart his arms folded across his huge chest. The many chipped teeth look like a saw cutting through wood in his beard.
He looks at the crew and attempts to spot any who may intervene so he may stop them as Jack and Dagger.
If things go south for jack he will happily intervene though.

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
So I'm not sure if you're waiting for me to roll or if you didn't have time or dice handy. So I rolled for your Brinkmanship for you. I got 2,1,5,6,and a 4 so that ties his current die roll which means you are winning. If you are dissatisfied with this roll I'll allow you to make your own.
So you do the disarm and try to intimidate him off. Rolling to see if it works and got 4 successes with his brinkmanship. Only need two to stay in the fight. So my only option is to escalate. Rolling the 4 dice that failed before and:
4,5,3,3
combined with the 3 6s he had before he is now winning the fight with 5 successes. What I see happening here is Dagger charges you to knock out of the away to retrieve his knife. You cut him as he does so but it's minor.
Your options are: Spend Xs to roll more dice Escalate Lose and suffer a deadly wound

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
Doing fine. Let's go with spend more X's for dice.

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
The Celt moves to stop the fight as he can see it may quickly get out of hand. He clutches his Burta in his hand ready to break a few bones to calm the fight before the crew gets rowdy as well.
