 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
Sorry for the delay, Canada day long weekend festivities and work took up all my time. So we have a couple of things to sort out zircher is spending Xs to improve Handsome Jack's odds of winning, and The celt is jumping into the fight. I'll use the post order to determine order of operations. Which means we'll spend the Xs first. So zircher how many Xs would you like to spend? I rolled one for now which turned up a 4 so you need only one more success to tie him and be winning again. Keep in mind that after a fight you lose your Xs except those you earn at the end of it.
Once zircher is done spending Xs, I'll do a going into danger roll for you, Griffsnog, and then you'll spend a couple of Xs to pull someone out of the fight(or hold them down, etc). Just so you know though since you will be entering the fight you will lose all your Xs same as zircher.

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
Let's go with two more X's since luck is not my strong suit.

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
Those 2 Xs net you a 2, and 4. Here's the two dice pools as they stand now:
1,2,2, 4,4,4,5,6 Handsome Jack 3,3, 4,5,6,6,6 John Dagger
Since Jack advanced to a tie he is currently winning the fight. At this point The Celt is entering the fight. Rolled Devil vs. Ambition and got 2 to 1 netting you another X. So The Celt now has two options:
Join a side: Rerolling one failure die and adding another die to the pool Remove one combatant from the fight: Spend 2 Xs and describe how you're doing so

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
Guessing this is when Nathan can come in. Seeing his boss causing a fit on the ship he's gonna try to stop Dagger by taking a shot to at least make him drop to a knee. Guessing this is brutality vs soul right?

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
I'd think it would be more of a Ambition vs. Brutality. I'll wait for Griffsnog to make a decision on what he's doing and then I'll do that roll.

 Poison'd PBP(Mature)
Being a brute of a man I see Black Stewart walking over and just sort of plucking them apart. I would like to de-escalate the fight. So I'll spend the X's to remove Dagger from the fight.
The Celt walks over to his mates squabbling. "Stop fighting children! You'll sour our ships belly with your petty arguments." he yanks them apart; Jack by his collar and Daggar by his arm. Black Stewart gives jack a stern look before putting the heel of his boot squarely into the side of Dagger's knee.

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
Dagger rounds on The Celt "Name one time that happened under my watch. You think I just keep the powder dry. Can you spot an overused canon about to break while managing all the gunners and powder monkies and taking cannon balls from His Majesty's finest ..." Just then Handsome Jack, trying to intimidate the gunnery master, flicks open one of his straight razors and rushes Dagger. The gunnery master dances away from Jack and draws his own knife.
Jack surveys the situation and remembers a day back in medical school: //Flash// In a darkened room with cold tiles, all the light is focused on a grisly table where a disassembled man is displayed. Standing next to the table are two men in bloody aprons. One of them is an older man with thick white mutton chop sideburns. Across from him is a younger Jack when he was a medical student.
Instructor: "See here, Mr. Walden. The ligaments are the strings that control the puppet that is our body. If they are cut or the tissue around them is inflamed, there is significant impairment."
The camera zooms in on the deadman's hand and the doctor pokes and prods making the hand perform for its master.
Young Jack: "Fascinating, if you control the right ligaments you control the man." //Flash//
Recalling the proper placement of the ligaments, Jack backfists Dagger's wrist with his offhand, causing the hand to open and the knife clatters to the deck. "If you can't defend yourself against a scrawny whelp like me, you have no business above deck. Back off and I won't cut ya from ear to ear." Dagger sees cold murder in Handsome Jack's eye.
The Celt smiles at his adversaries squabbling with each other. He stands feet shoulders width apart his arms folded across his huge chest. The many chipped teeth look like a saw cutting through wood in his beard.
He looks at the crew and attempts to spot any who may intervene so he may stop them as Jack and Dagger.
If things go south for jack he will happily intervene though.
Dagger, dirty fighter that he his, throws dome black powder into those murderous eyes of Jack. Taking advantage of Jack's blindness Dagger pushes him, taking a few cuts from the straight razor, and scoops up his knife from the deck and lunges for Jack. The two of them struggle, each holding the others arm, trying to strike while defending against the other man's weapon.
Two things happen simultaneously. The first is The Celt appears beside his squabbling mates grabs Jacks collar and Daggers arm and pulls them apart. The second is a bullet hits Dagger in his side. He collapses to the deck and shrieks in pain.
The crew turns to see Nathan "Hawk" Ravenblack, the gunnery master's mate, holding a smoking pistol.

 Re: Poison'd PBP(Mature)
Okay so that's how I see the fight happening. If you want to change some of your actions I have no problem with that. Once we all agree on the events of the fight i will post it in the IC thread. For that treachery roll Hawk earned an X(1 to 0).

 Poison'd PBP(Mature)
What a stellar fight scene, with a plot twist as well.
