Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone had a good 4th of July.

I am sorry for not being active one recently, but with the campaign starting and summer classes coming to a close I have been looking elsewhere.

However I do have a few things I would like to mention.

First I would like to thank Ahkita and Russel for sticking around last week and participating in "Monster Hunters: Campfire tales"

Secondly I would like to announce I have made a Obsidian Portal site for this game.

Finally, I would like to nail down one little thing we skipped over... The group template... It made sense to hold it off but now we need it.

Really the main question I am looking for an answer is How did you all come together and decide to go out into the world and begin hunting down monsters as a group?

In addition to that the game starts with the group on the trail of the big bad already, a nameless Sorcerer who by all account is weakening the boundaries between worlds so more things (and stronger things) can cross over into this world. Why are your characters after this guy personally and/or as a group?

And what events lead you to hunting him down? (Vanessa and Brian already have an adventure trying to discover the secret of crop circles with an FBI Agent, and the more "campfire tales" we play the more back group will get fleshed out)

As for the rest - Obsidian Portal site? I have no idea what it is, but I'd love a link so I can see.

I think I had imagined something like we initially got together because of an incident, and then we got together again at some point and realized just how awesome we were together.

Vanessa's motives for doing anything would have to do with her family. She would not be apt to go running around the country with folks she just met for the sake of 'saving the world'.

Scientific curiosity would definitely be part of it, but there has to be a connection to her relations for her to do anything super drastic.

So what kind of connection can there be? Obviously her dad or brother might be plagued by the supernatural uphevals, or she might discover her mom was killed by something otherworldly. Or we could look at the other side of her family, say her evil uncle is working with the big bad that they're chasing.

As an unrelated aside to restart this thread, I was looking through my old MP3s for deletables when I found this one. It's a reasonable fit for Cliff.

Wow. Quiet room. So does that mean I'll for this Friday's session? Last time was a strange non-event.
