"For the moment, I need a scout to gather intelligence. Here's the address of the botanist's shop. I need you to look around, map the layout. There's too much of a chance that I'm known. Once we have an idea of what's going on, we can go in at night for a more thorough search."

"Volos... I wouldn't presume to impose on your evening any further, but if you really want to come, I won't argue," Blackstone says, smiling an apology at the young lady.

"My dear," he smiles at his companion, "I'm afraid I'll be indisposed for a bit. This might be a good time to get some sleep."

Volos looks back at the Captain. "I could use a bit of adrenaline. When shall we go?"

Leland smiles and opens the door. "After you?"

Volos rises. "I'll need my kit. I figure your grandfather might require some special herbal remedies from the old land. Been awhile since I've been decrepit." He smile. Volos always feels most himself when being someone else.

"Eine moment, meine Herren." Karl goes to his room and brings back a small wooden case. He produces five wrist watches and hands one to each member. The face of the watch looks a bit peculiar. "Diese watches are small two-way radios. They can talk three to four blocks. Tsey can also track diese device," he pulled a small disk from the case. "It would be a gut idea to stay in contact when we are split up."

Boyan's companion gives a scowl at him that would curdle milk. Turning on heel, she tosses her hair and says something to the effect of "If you prefer their company to mine, then we have nothing else to say to each other"

The night is dark, and much cooler than the day. The address you have for the gardens is several miles away. Ian, Leland, Karl and Boyan stand about the lobby discussing the interesting watches of Karl's. Burt is still absent, presumably asleep upstairs.

The lobby becomes more alive with the prospect that their guests are about to go out. Ayetkin appears again and states that if the genatalmen are going some distance, his uncle has taxi.

OOC: this is your final chance to make any other preparations. Boyan were you putting on a disguise? Are any of you going armed other than your formidable fists?/OOC

Karl goes back to his room and comes back with a very bulky belt and an over-sized pistol-looking contraption in a holster on his hip.
