Hey, more players! It's been a good PbP game so far.

What kind of character roles are you looking for? Knights, peasants, witches, deposed monarchs, bastard sons, madmen, scholars?

Is the setting mono or polytheistic?

You said low magic, so is there a house rule to limit the power of magic?

I'm very interested in this question particularly.

I hadn't thought much about it other than thinking that magic would be very powerful and so you'd likely have a few who are very powerful and many hedge type wizards who would cast what would be 0 level spells in D&D.
The basics in the setting are pretty basic...I'd figured on the population being smallish so no huge cities of 250,000 people. The land is a rather large island and these people have settled here within the last thousand years or so...they fought a barbarian population (who also likely came from somewhere else) and these barbarian live in "The Highlands" where they are in exile I guess is as good a word as any. The two sides don't have much interaction with each other.
In keeping the setting small - with four baronies and a little Kingdom area along with a couple of no-man lands between the baronies and another unsettle desert waste area to the south. I wanted it to make travel easier...so someone in the Barony of the South could go to the Barony of the North and not have it be months and months.
I also had thought that having fewer people would create some interesting situations. Where maybe the Baron of the West doesn't have the forces to properly patrol the northeast border where his lands meet the Baron of the North, so it is lawless with petty bandits controlling the roads or building forts and declaring themselves Kings, Barons or Earls.
So a slightly different mindset...if you take 200 knights to root those bandits out...you don't have them somewhere else and it's not like they are can or are replaced.
Some of the Baronies have resources and smart people running them and some don't and have wide scale corruption and pissed off people...that kind of vibe if this makes any sense...

However to answer your question. Should you want to play someone who wants to be an Earthshaking Blaster of Souls...I think we can find a place for you.
It is all a question of fitting what you desire into the existing story and building and fitting it all together. As long as everyone is having fun, I'm down with it.

Actually I'm quite interested in the idea of a low magic charcter who can only do subtle things.

I'm leaning towards a holy warrior type character only no actual magic. Think cleric only no spells or anything, the plan is to even have use a warhammer but that's only because I like war hammers.

Also pledged to the Goddess of Marriage/Family, because I really like the idea of Holy Warrior pledged to something that you wouldn't associate with war. Which is why I need the Polythesitic Religon.

Sent my character in, ended up being way longer than I expected.

Theoretically there are multiple religions. I detailed an old one from the Southwest canyon lakes region (east of the desert, south of the barbarian-held mountains, north of the ocean). It's largely defunct, but its influence is still seen in their traditions and speech.
