Anyone interested in a Scion:Hero game PbP
So the play by post bug has bitten me hard and I realized it's a perfect medium to run some of the campaigns I've never gotten to run in the worlds/systems I've never gotten to use. So I'm looking for 2 to 4 players who would be interested in play Whitewolf's Scion at the Hero level. I have three campaign ideas which I'll reveal if people express at least a little interest.

Have you seen the show "The Amighty Johnsons" or read the "Percy Jackson" books? I've never read Scion, but I hear it is like that

No to the first and I've only heard of the Percy Jackson books/movie. You could also say it's like Gaiman's American Gods sort of. A good description is the Greek hero tradition in modern settings using multiple pantheons.

I would be interested in playing in it. I have the Scion: Hero book sitting within arms reach here at work (the other two are at home) but I have never gotten to play. Built a character once... son of Baldur.

Which isn't to say I would expect to play said character! I would create a new character for a new game, of course.

Excellent. Do you also have the companion. You wouldn't need it but it has some neat stuff that might be useful and the WW2 campaign concept is one of the things I was considering basing the campaign off of.

Re: Anyone interested in a Scion:Hero game PbP
Okay so I have three potential campaign ideas.
Idea 1: It's the early days of WW2. Poland has just been invaded. France is about to fall. The players are a group of scions recruited by a mysterious figure as a group of spies/saboteurs. Very international.
Idea 2: Similar concept except it's modern alt-history and the cold-war never ended
Idea 3: More run of the mill to the Scion idea. The party are newly minted Scions and the Titans haven't escaped yet. The gods have created scions because of the dark portents on the horizon. If we chose this concept I'd have us employ the Dresden Files rpg city creation process as a group.
With all the campaigns I'd have things start fairly mundane (in terms of supernatural) and have the weirdness build over time.

I don't have the companion. Didn't even know a companion existed. Googling now.
I would rate those three ideas (all cool) in the same order you listed them in.

A good description is the Greek hero tradition in modern settings using multiple pantheons. I realize this is a little vague so I'll expand my remarks. By Greek hero tradition I mean that the various Gods sire or bring to term half divine half mortal children who by virtue of their heritage are destined to live interesting lives. The deities in some way or another will reveal themselves to their off-spring. They explain the Scions heritage and often set them some task/responsibility/purpose/etc. So the Scion goes on to battle evil and so on. If they can survive and over come they can even go on to become demi-gods and ultimately gods in their own rite.
