Hi Mr E!
I knew we were more players but RPd according to the posters. Wasn´t sure your character was on the plane or not. Anyhow, greets!

Syr, you should also link your character to the main wiki page. :)

No problem. I was AFK for a few days so things progressed without me. I just thought I would poke a bit of fun at it in the game.

Oh and hi!

I know you did mine; I'll look it over some time tomorrow.

@Noble Bear: I didn´t put her up there on the staff list as she´s not employed, yet. She´s only the ticket to the marina...

So, she´s only in the contacts list: http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/oss/wikis/contacts-and-persons-of-interest

I´ll throw in a link at her first appearance in the ic-thread.

When, if, she gets enrolled at OOS, I´ll add her to the staff list. Sounds about right?

Edit: I added a "temporarily employed" line to the main page. Hope that´s OK.

Ok, I've given these a once over. I'm not an expert, so please let me know if you think I've missed something important, or made a factual error. Generally, I'm adapting existing firearm stats to fit the new models, so things like clip capacity and range are worthy of special attention as we try and work things out.

Kriss Super V .45 ACP SMG with all the fixin's:

Damage: 3
Range: 40/60/120
Capacity: 30+1
Strength: 1

Notes:
Req Strength reduced and short range increment increased from generic .45 ACP SMG due to recoil reduction in the model.
ACOG scope = range penalty halved up to long range.
Flip-up Sights = +1 to shooting check after aiming at short or medium range

I'm afraid I don't know much about different ammo types. Can you give me a run-down of the intended benefits of each type listed? Also, are any of them subsonic (for use with the suppressor)?

Also, is it possible to fire a single shot with the Kriss Super V? Everything I'm seeing implies that it can empty its clip in a couple seconds, so unless there's some kind of pressure sensitive trigger mechanism, I'm inclined to say that its lowest RoF is the medium burst. Let me know what you think.

.45ACP is subsonic by default. The power comes from the fact that it's a really big, heavy piece of metal getting flung at you.

Also: the Kriss Super-V is definitely select-fire and I think may even have a 3-round burst option. (less certain about this, though)

Frangible ammo (the glaser safety slugs) is designed to do two things: kill whoever is shot with it and not shoot through walls to kill innocent people. It's very hard to survive a hit from frangible ammo, because it's a whole bunch of little tiny shot behind a penetrator cap. The bullet pushes into the body and then breaks apart into a whole bunch of tiny little pieces, which sumps close to 100% of the energy into the target and also makes a cluster of a whole bunch of tiny little bleeding wounds. It's nasty stuff, but also not much use against armored targets and very expensive. Bede keeps only one magazine of it for emergencies. The match ammo is just really well-made, consistent ammo designed to be as accuarate as possible.

Fair enough, that makes perfect sense. :)

Hey 'Spike: How bulky is all our combined gear? Do we have a place or vehicle to stash it when when get to shore or are we gonna waltz around downtown advertising we're a small militia?

That's an EXCELLENT question for the advance team (Javier and Alice) who I trusted with preparing for our arrival. ;)
