OH GODS I'M SO FAR BEHIND! Graytigeress wrote: What if you guys used that thingy that Mikey did? Then we could pay you before hand, you could get them made, and then I might actualy get to play it. That is not a bad idea. I have ALOT of catchup to play, but I'll doscuss it with Arthur when I get a chance. We've been teetering on the edge of "Done" for a while now. I think the major issue here is that neither of us are "industry" or "business" people. We're "artists" (he more so than I) and "hobbyists", and I have to admit that I've been frozen in the headlights of the legal portion of launching this project for too long. Another issue is one of distance. We're practically across the country from eachother. It's not like we could go out to lunch and just hammer out the details. We're having to work via semi-akward Skypeing around eachothers scheduels, and mine is currently PACKED (I picked a hell of a time to start dating again, I tell you what).

 Re: Forum Cards
If you guys need help on the business end I'm happy to help. You might also hit up OgreTeeth (Tim) as I know he's also developing a card game. There are a few good printers and I know a few myself.

 Re: Forum Cards
I dunno if it's been mentioned or anything, but I was just looking at card printers and came across this one that seems pretty legit and fair priced: http://www.printerstudio.com/unique-ide ... cards.htmlI would still totally buy a deck (or few) of FtBFtW. Edit- And I just realized, their large cards would be perfect for host cards, if I'm not mistaken.

 Re: Forum Cards
So, with this project years in development, I wanted to throw in the suggestion of funding its release via kickstarter.
I recently contributed 55 bucks to a board game I wanted a copy of. Why not get some publishing estimates together and see what the funding target would be?

That was suggested a few pages back, actually. A bunch of people are in. I think the main obstacle is they just aren't sure how to go about releasing it.

 Re: Forum Cards
I need to get estimates, make a round of changes to the game that I know need to be worked in first, get it ready for print, then put a pitch video together.

You guys should let me know if you want some assistance. As I am nearly finished going though the process of pubbing Ghost Pirates, I can definitely help get things into shape. Drop me a pm or email...

 Re: Forum Cards
OK, so a quick update:
Once I'm clear of my semester, I'll dust this off and get this into gear. Based on the accumulated input I have received so far, I'll be making one more, big round of adjustments then begin prep work needed for a Kickstarter; the ks will ask to fund one last round of beta, then a first printing.
In the meantime, I'm opening the floor to suggestions as to what the kickstarter itself should include:
What features would you like to see in a ks vid regarding the game? What sort of rewards might I include? What should the video have? What level of attainable quality should I shoot for? Any other thoughts?
Since none of this will get started for a couple of months yet, there's plenty of time to drop feedback.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: One other note: I had to delete a bunch of pics from my Image Shack account or they would have done it for me on the first, this was because I had exceeded a limit they only recently decided on. As such, if you are pouring through the back pages of this thread and find broken links, now you know.
EDIT 2: tweaked some stuff for clarity.
