 Knighmare Chess
Any fans of Knighmare Chess hang out here? If so, do any of you have a favorite card(s) to play?

 Re: Knighmare Chess
I adore Knightmare Chess, but it's been way too long since I played. I was always fond of dropping Earthquake (IIRC--the one that rotates the board 90 degrees) on my first turn; making the game run sideways for the entire match was a hoot.
Easily the most overpowered card in the game was the one that let the King take double-moves. Bastard became almost impossible to nail.
About the only problem we ever ran into playing it had to do with the graveyard and special pieces--you had to develop a method of denoting promoted/crafted pieces that did NOT rely on pieces in the graveyard.

I know of this game, but have never played it. Thought it looked really fun though. Would love to give it a try some day.

I also understand about overpowered cards, i just got the blank card booster set and I am trying to figure out the mechanics so it will be interesting without blowing the game away. I also agree about denoting the pieces that have been modified. I use twist ties but that can be confusing at times.

What about placing poker chips under units that are modified? -- TAZ

zircher wrote: What about placing poker chips under units that are modified? -- TAZ that would work especially if I used a matching chip on the card that was modifying it. The fun and challenge of the game for me is getting the different effects going on the different chess pieces which unfortunately can vbe confusing but not hideously.

I am in the same boat as Freemage. Great game and it's been way too long since the last time I played and I can't even remember any cards. I think it's time to bring this out of the closet.
