Someone made an amazing review of RPG projects on Kickstarter and other crowd funding sites. They collected all of the projects they could find, over 150, and provided the data on them. They went into details as to what made them succeed, fail, etc. It's a great read for anyone in the RPG industry or anyone wanting to create an RPG Kickstarter project.

That's a great find! I read all three parts and then saved the whole thing to my Evernote for later reference.

Some of it matched what I suspected, like the fact that unsuccessful projects set their goals too high. But some of it was not what I expected, like the fact that PDF only projects don't succeed as often as projects with a print option. There was also an excellent set of notes in part three about the value of 'soft' rewards and the importance of patronage alongside pre-orders.

Great stuff. I was pleased to see TechNoir listed as having the third highest number of backers and sixth highest dollars invested behind it. There's still a market for science-fiction in gaming.
