 Re: Popular RPG Systems
Here are a handful we've played recently to add to the list. Alphabetized for ease of later alphabetization. Editing to match the style of other entries I'll leave to you. I'm not a Cublicle 7 shill, they just happen to publish a bunhc of games I play. Diaspora is a Hard SF rpg, reminiscent of Traveller, using the FATE engine. Diaspora uses a series of open ended descriptive traits. http://www.vsca.ca/Diaspora/The Dresden Files A FATE 3.0 game set in the modern urban fantasy world of author Jim Butcher's eponymous series, featuring Harry Dresden, Consulting Magician. Players take the roles of various supernatural (or not) persons. Fate is a simple rules system that uses open-ended descriptive traits. http://www.dresdenfilesrpg.comHARP High Adventure Roleplaying, by Iron Crown, the creators of Rolemaster. HARP is not Rolemaster-Lite, as MERP was, although it is clearly a related game. An SF variant has recently been published as well. http://www.harphq.com/Legends of Anglerre Is a FATE-based fantasy rpg developed from Starblazer Adventures. Legends of Anglerre is rules-light system that uses open-ended descriptive traits and aspects. http://www.cubicle-7.com/legends/legends.phpQin: The Warring States Originally published in France (and in French) Qin is a fantasy game set in ancient China. Martial arts and weapons and daoist magic are used in a game with a mild wuxia style of play. http://www.cubicle-7.com/qin/qinproducts.htmStarblazer Adventures A FATE 3.0 game, Starblazers is a Space Opera style rpg focusing on high adventure in space. Starbalzer Adventures is rules-light system that uses open-ended descriptive traits and aspects. http://cubicle-7.com/starblazer.htm

Cool beans! Thanks for the formatting. When I quote it, I can copy and paste that BBCode directly into the main list. -- TAZ

 Re: Popular RPG Systems
I was reading over the list and realized that Nemesis was missing. As such:
Nemesis: A horror game based around the ORE system, notable for its multifaceted psychological trauma system.

At GenCon last year, the booth across from us had a new zombie game they had just released. The name is Outbreak: Undead, and is a percentile-based RPG. Here's the link: http://outbreakundead.com/

Traveller: High sci-fi/space opera game with a long character creation system and lots of little, tiny books. Infamously known for a character generation system can can kill your character before you start playing. Ran by Churcher at Fear the Con

 Re: Popular RPG Systems
LOL, I really should add that. I've gotten about a dozen new RPGs since the last update that I need to add to the list. *scribble in his journal* On the official to-do list. -- TAZ

 Re: Popular RPG Systems
Suggested added text for Alternity entry:
Core book is themed with the Space Drive setting information as a default, but the actual system is intended to be generic, allowing for play in different "ages" of technology all the way from ancient to far future. A few settings were published, including Star Drive (space faring future sci-fi), Dark Matter (think X-files), and Gamma World (translated and altered to use the Alternity mechanics). The Star Drive and Dark Matter campaigns had a significant amount of supporting material published.
