For some of us it is easier to concentrate your attention on a single gaming system than to go around trying multiple different systems out.
I have found myself in two different kinds of group. One resistant to change, so new systems are resisted (and in some cases resented, but that is a whole other story), and another group that loves to experiment.

I myself find that I only have so much money and time, so will restrict myself to one game when I purchase new books for the games that I GM.

So I can see why it would happen.

I believe the next thing you were going to say was check out all the free games and the ones that can be gotten on the cheap via PDF.

This is technically accurate, but having read through Reign recently I think it's incomplete. Reign's major selling point (for me) was its Company system, creating a second 'layer' of gameplay -- at any scope, from local temples to mercantile guilds to major nations -- that's intimately tied to the PCs. If I were to expand on this blurb, I think I'd say this:

Reign: Fantasy game using the One Roll Engine. Includes system for creating and using Companies, which are any organization with a goal (cults, nations, conspiracies, etc.) Company success depends largely on actions of player characters. Setting in the book is unique, with a very interesting magic system, but the author tries (albeit not always successfully) to make the game portable to other settings. Book has very clear authorial voice, occasionally addressing the reader directly.

That's a bit long, I know, but I think it hits all the main points of interest and is pretty even-handed. If anyone can shorten it, though, that'd be good.

I also bought the Pakistan bundle from Drive Thru RPG, so I have even more back logged RPG to review and post. I'll keep this going as long as I keep finding new things to read.
