 charity auction requests
This is a place for you to post what you'd like to see in a charity auction for Raina's Wings! More details are given in episode 222.

MUST AVOID SARCASM!
OKay... I think I'm alright. I have at least one question if not more.
1. Are you talking a physical object or a concept? (Say a book vs. an appearance on the show) 2. If an object: what is a likely price point?

This is your chance to suggest it so if it is a physical object or something more obstract feel free to suggest it. If you want Transcript of a Pat and Chris sexting conversation for examle this is where to suggest it. 2. That is also something we are asking you guys. This is a charity event to raise money. We have no idea what people would want or how much they would bid for it.

 Re: charity auction requests
First of all, for those who don't know, Raina's Wings is the team my wife started two years ago for the March of Dimes' spring fundraiser March for Babies. She did this in memory of our first daughter, Raina, who passed away at five weeks of age from an incredibly rare congenital heart defect (literally only one or two recorded cases in the world every decade or so). The story of our two month long hospital stay and her short, incredible life can be found here. This is the third consecutive year that Fear the Boot has lent us support for Raina's Wings and every year they've taken a different strategy. Their/your generosity is not something I ever take for granted and every year shows me a brand new appreciation for it. So again, we thank you. As far as auction items go, what about auctioning off an exclusive meal or one-shot gaming session for the winning bidder with all of the FtB hosts at GenCon? Or, if tickets are still available, a True Dungeon run. Maybe the winning bidder can be Johnny G.'s wingman during a cougar hunt. If one of the community's professional artists are game, maybe an illustration/cartoon of a PC. Or, maybe if the total winning bids reaches a certain level... an Actual Play episode!

 Re: charity auction requests
I will say that one of our local cons holds a charity auction and it is a HUGE hit. You can talk to DriveThruRPG.net and see if they're willing to donate some PDF codes for the cause. Sean Patrick Fannon is one of the managers for it, and he's pretty helpful when it comes to it.
Some of the game companies may also want to donate some codes too.
But my main point is that at our con, we have what's called "The Mystery Box" and it easily goes for $50 or so each time it gets put up. The Mystery Box holds whatever the previous year's winner put into it. If this looks like a possibility, I may organize this so we can have a lot of fun with it. It could be gaming stuff, or something completely random. Let me know if this is something you guys would be interested in.

I'm willing to write a personalized funny song for someone, if that is something people would bid on...

 Re: charity auction requests
I for one don't really need 'stuff' to donate. But I wouldn't mind a prize. If I could cash in on it I would totally do everything I could to be a host on an episode of FTB. Or even get like a signed poster of all the Hosts. Ever think of doing it like PBS? "Everyone who donates X much gets a free Fear the Con Handbag!" "Ohh look how dapper.." "I know isn't it FABULOUS?" Also I'd ask for Unicron, but that'd be like asking me for any of my Megaman stuff, I'd bite your damn hand off.

We intend to provide links for donations so anyone wishing to skip the auctions can just send support directly to the March of Dimes. The auctions were just our way of trying to draw interest from people that may not have otherwise donated and also adding a bit of humor to a pretty heavy topic.

 Re: charity auction requests
I will get the link sent to Dan as soon as I get it from my wife. Each year the MoD scrubs the Walk's site from the year before, causing everyone to have to sign up again every year.
Mikey, that's a great idea!
